2x^{2} - 5x + 25 - (4 x^{2} - 17x + 36) 

=  2x^{2} - 5x + 25 -4 x^{2} +17x -36

= (2-4) x^{2} + (-5+17)x + 25 - 36

= -2 x^{2} + 12x - 11
