| r + 3 | > 7

r + 3 > 7       r + 3 < -7
r > 7 - 3        r < -7 - 3
r > 4             r < -10

so, r > 4 and r < -10

what percent of 60 is 12
percent formula : is/of = %/100
percent = x
is = 12
of = 60
now sub
12/60 = x/100
cross multiply
60x = 12 * 100
60x = 1200
x = 1200/60
x = 20%

Hey there,

Lets solve this equation together ,

<span>Break down the problem into these 2 equations
</span>
r+3\ \textgreater \ 7&#10;

-(r+3)\ \textgreater \ 7

Solve the 1st equation: <span>r+3><span>7
</span></span>
--------------<span>Subtract </span>3<span> from both sides</span>

r\ \textgreater \ 7-3

-------------- Simplify <span>7−3 </span><span>to </span><span>4

</span>r\ \textgreater \ 4

Solve the 2nd equation: <span>−(r+3)≥<span>7
</span></span><span>
----</span><span>Simplify brackets
</span>
-r-3\ \textgreater \ 7

---- Add 3<span> to both sides
</span>
-r\ \textgreater \ 7+3

 ----- Simplify <span>7+3</span> to <span>10

</span>-r\ \textgreater \ 10

---- Multiply both sides by <span>−1

</span>r\ \textless \ -10

<span>Collect all solutions
</span>r\ \textgreater \ 4&#10;

r\ \textless \ -10

Mars2501 [29]
Let x = speed and y = distance

y = x * 45

y = (x - 4) * 70

45x = 70x - 280

-25x = -280

x = 11.2

Put it back into the first equation:

y = 11.2 x 45

y = 504miles

Hope this helps! Any questions let me know :)

Suppose you have 18 objects (10 of type A, 5 of type B, and 3 of type C). Objects of type A are indistinguishable from each othe
Paladinen [302]

Answer:

\binom{18}{5}= 8568

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that we have in total 18 items. Even though we are given information regarding the amounts of items per type, the general question asks the total number of ways in which you can pick 5 out of the 18 objects, without any restriction on the type of chosen items. Therefore, the information regarding the type is unnecessary to solve the problem.

Recall that given n elements, the different ways of choosing k elements out of n is given by the binomial coefficient \binom{n}{k}).

Therefore, in this case the total number of ways is just \binom{18}{5}=8568
