The Roman's conquered land from empire's like he Celtic tribes, Carthage, the Hellenistic Empires, and many more. They conquered a large amount of Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia. This makes it a very big accomplishment because no other Empire had the manpower that the Roman's had, and because of Rome's manpower, they were bound to conquer a lot of Europe and other land. Them expanding their empire allowed them to control most of Europe and other places.
