Label the following pictures with the type of erosion that formed it
aliina [53]

Answer:

The one on the top and right is water erosion, The one on the left is caused from a rock being there for so long is starts to become thinner because of the wind. Now the middle left is a natural basin that looks like water flowed through it so again water erosion. The middle right looks like the rocks and dirt fell off a mountain from being loosened from all the water, wind, humans and others so the kind of erosion is accelerated erosion. the bottom left is strong wind erosion. and the bottom right is a landslide. Describe how you can tell the difference between a normal fault and a reverse fault.
Firlakuza [10]

Explanation:

A fault is a product of brittle deformation in  which a displacement occurs within the earth.

A normal and reverse fault both have an hanging wall and a foot wall.

  • In a normal fault, the footwall moves upward and the hanging wall moves downward thereby causing extension.
  • In a reverse fault, the footwall moves downward and the hanging wall moves upward thereby causing shortening.
  • The footwall is the block on a side of the fault surface where a miner can stand whereas the hanging wall is the block on the other side.

For the same insolation, order these regions from highest absorption to lowest
abruzzese [7]

1. The Sahara Desert

2. Grassy plains of Kansas

3. Lake Michigan

4. An Arctic glacier

Explanation:

The insolation is not the same across the planet, and it varies from one place to another. The variations occur mainly because of two things, one being the latitude and the other being the the type of surface.

The places that are on lower latitudes get more direct sunlight, thus more concentrated, and they manage to absorb more heat. The places on higher latitudes get sunlight at very low angle, thus very dispersed, and they absorb much less heat.

The surfaces that are without cover, on land, tend to have higher insolation. The surfaces that are with cover, or are water bodies, ice bodies, have lower insolation.
