Afghanistan is a country that is surrounded by other countries. Also, Afghanistan is part/in the middle of Asia. All of Afghanistan's enemies would be able to see them coming.

Answer:

Afghanistan geographical condition made it difficult for the invading armies to conquer. If we look back at history British were unable to conquer the land. Soviet in the Afghan War and the United States since 2001 powerless to conquer the country because of its terrain. The high mountains and deserts cover Afghanistan as far as the eye can see made the invading armies to capture impossible.

The climate in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran is mainly Desert.

Those places are located around the Middle East area and the Middle East is covered in dry hot sand so it'll make sense that Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran is a desert.
