The correct answer is B) The British did not like Boston because most colonists there did not own slaves.

The British and the colonists had many conflicts in the time before the American Revolution. The conclusion that can be made about why so much conflict occurred in Boston is "the British did not like Boston because most colonists there did not own slaves."

Problems were many and people were very angry with the monarchy of England. Not only in Boston, but in all the 13 colonies. Heavy taxation was imposed on the American colonies by the British monarchy. This decision did not like the American people and they were upset with the British government. Americans had to pay more taxes and the worst thing was they had no voice or representation in Parliament. American people reacted and in Boston, they participated in the Boston Tea Party protests of December 16, 1773, where they dumped 342 chests of British tea into the Boston harbor. Incidents like this led to the Revolutionary War. There was also the Boston Massacre on March 5, 1770.
