Answer:

Let the length of the first shelf = x

Length of second shelf = 2x + 18

Length of third shelf = x - 12

Length of remaining shelf = x + 4

Since Robert has to use a board of 2.5 m , the sum of lengths of all these shelves should be 250 cm

So, x + 2x + 18 + x - 12 + x + 4 = 250

5x + 10 = 250

5x = 240

x = 48 cm

Therefore, the length of the first shelf should be 48 cm

The spinner is divided into eight equal sections marked with eight different colors what situation could be represented by the s
meriva
I believe the answer you looking for is Probability.

This means that if someone spinned that wheel, they have a probability of getting the color they need.

For instance,
Let's say this wheel had the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, and pink.
If I wanted the color red on the spinner, I have a 1/8 chance to spin the color red. I have a 7/8 chance of NOT spinning red. However, let's say the wheel had 4 colors that were pink and 4 colors that were blue. If I wanted to spin the color pink, I would have a 4/8 chance OF spinning it and a 4/8 chance of NOT spinning it. 4/8 is also equivilant to 1/2.

I hope this helps you understand!!

How do I find the domain?
chubhunter [2.5K]
Domain is the set of numbers you can use for the equaiton

remember you can't divide by zero, or take the squaer root of a negtive number (we don't have sqrts in this quesiton so don't worry about last one)

so you can't divide by 0
domain =all real number except those that make divide by zero

where is that?
x-1=0
x=1

when x=1, we can't allw that

domain=all real numbers except 1
