The answer would be C 4.5 because 8 divided by 4 is 2 so you will take 18 and divide it by 4 and that will get you 4.5

The smaller rectangle is like a smaller version of the big one, and 8 divided by 2 is four... so I think you need to divide 18 by 4, which is 4.5, so C is the answer

Find the equation of a line passing through a point (3,5) and perpendicular to the line joining the points (3, 7) and (7, -1)
eduard

Step-by-step explanation:

we start first by finding the gradient of the line

change in y/change in x

7-(-1)/3-7=8/-4

=-2

then for perpendicular lines m1m2=-1

therefore to find the gradient of that line

-2m2=-1

therefore m2=2

so therefore

y-5/x-3=2

so y-5=2x-6

y-2x=-1

in the form y= mx +c

then y=2x-1

Frank has been given a list of 4 bands and asked to place a vote. His vote must have the names of his favorite, second favorite,
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

24 different possible votes

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a permutation problem. There's a formula: P(n,r)=n!/(n-r)!

Where P is the number of permutations (combinations), n is the number of objects (4 bands, in this case) r is the number of objects taken at a time (1st fav, 2nd fav and 3rd fav=3)

P(4,3)=4!/(4-3)!=4!/1!= 24/1= 24 combinations

The slope is …<br> Find the slope<br> m = ___
vodka [1.7K]

The slope of the line is \frac{-3}{5} .

What is Slope?

   The slope of a line is how steep it is going from LEFT to RIGHT. Slope is the proportion of a line's ascent, or vertical change, to its run, or horizontal change. No matter which two spots you choose for the line's starting and ending points, the slope is always constant (it never changes).

Here given two point are ,

(x_1,y_1)=(-3,1)\\(x_2,y_2)=(2,-2)

Now using slope formula,

=> slope m= \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

=> slope m= \frac{-2-1}{2-(-3)}

=> slope m = \frac{-3}{5}

Therefore the slope of the line is \frac{-3}{5} .
