<span>D.We both want to help the old people. we want to see that they do have adequate medical care.

The other three options are pieces of evidence that will help Nixon prove that the US is not standing still. They show that progress has been made in three different areas. This piece of evidence though, does not have anything to do with the forward movement of the country and does not hold any specific evidence at all, just a generic thought.

Answer: D.We both want to help the old people. We want to see that they do have adequate medical care.

In this excerpt, Nixon asks the listeners to decide whether the United States is moving forward or whether it is standing still. Options A, B and C are examples of how the country is moving forward in terms of education, the environment and health. However, option D does not provide any facts and is irrelevant to Nixon's discussion.

Arnold is writing an essay about making stew. He is using the cooking term sauté, which means "to fry something quickly in oil."
yKpoI14uk [10]

The term sauté is a verb. So in a sentence it needs to be used as a verb. A verb gives the action in a sentence.

Question: Which sentence uses the word sauté correctly?

The answer is C.

A is not, because the cowboy's appearance is not relevant to his personality as a round character. Same general idea for B and D.
