Part a:

x + y = 55

y = x + 25

part b:

jackie runs 15 minutes every day.

part c:

it is not possible for jackie to spend 45 minutes a day dancing, since the time she spends dancing and running is 55 minutes, and we know that it takes 15 minutes to run

step-by-step explanation:

let's call and while jackie is dancing

let's call x while jackie is running

then we know that jackie runs and dances for a total of 55 minutes every day

this means that:

x + y = 55

we also know that jackie dances 25 minutes more than she runs.

this meant that:

y = x + 25

now we substitute the second equation in the first and solve for the variable x

x + x + 25 = 552x = 55-252x = 30x = 15

jackie runs 15 minutes every day.

now we find the value of the variable -y

15 + y = 55y = 55-15y = 40

note that it is not possible for jackie to spend 45 minutes a day dancing, since the time she spends dancing and running is 55 minutes, and we know that it takes 15 minutes to run

for this case we have:

x: variable that represents the number of minutes jackie runs.

y: variable that represents the number of minutes jackie dances.

according to the data we have:

x + y = 55\\25 + x = y

to solve the system, we substitute the second equation in the first one:

x + 25 + x = 55\\2x = 55-25\\2x = 30\\x = \frac {30} {2}\\x = 15

so, jackie runs 15 minutes a day.

y = 25 + x\\y = 25 + 15\\y = 40

so, jackie dances 40 minutes a day.

it is not possible that jackie has spent 45 minutes dancing in one day. since he dedicates 55 minutes to both activities, he runs 15 minutes and the rest dances.

part a:

x + y = 55\\25 + x = y

part b:

jackie runs 15 minutes per day.

part c:

it's not possible.

shtirl [24]

Answer:

No, 25%, 50%, 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the percentage of tickets left:

50 + 25 = 75

(percents are out of 100)

100 - 75 = 25

He saids he used the rest of the tickets at the batting cage so it would be 25% not 24%

Find the general form, Ax2+Ay2+Dx+Ey+F=0, by identifying the coefficients A,D,E,&F center:(0,1); r=1 (x-0)2+(y-1)2=1 x2+y2-2
siniylev [52]

Answer:

The value of A is 1, D is 0, E is -2 and F is 0.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equation is

Ax^2+Ay^2+Dx+Ey+F=0             ...(1)

The standard form of the circle is

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

Where, (h,k) is the center of the circle and r is the radius.

(x-0)^2+(y-1)^2=1

x^2+y^2-2y+1-1=0

x^2+y^2-2y=0

It can be written as

x^2+y^2+0x-2y+0=0                          ....(2)

On comparing (1) and (2) we get.

A=1

D=0

E=-2

F=0

Therefore the value of A is 1, D is 0, E is -2 and F is 0.

Use the law of cosines to solve for the measure of the largest angle in triangle abc.
MariettaO [177]

The law used for determining the measure of unknown sides and angles of a triangle. The measure of the largest angle in triangle abc is 98.25 degrees

Law of cosines

The law used for determining the measure of unknown sides and angles of a triangle. It is expressed as:

c² = a² + b² - 2abcosC

Given the following

c = 16

a = 12

b = 9

Substitute

16² = 12² + 9² - 2(9)(12)cosC

256 = 144 + 81 - 216cosC

31 = -216cosC

cosC = -31/216

C = 98.25 degrees

Hence the measure of the largest angle in triangle abc is 98.25 degrees

Solve for x, where x is a real number.
Alex787 [66]

Hello!

First of all, let's undo the square roots by squaring both sides.

6x+2=9x-8

We subtract 9x from both sides.

-3x+2=-8

We subtract 2 from both sides.

-3x= -10

We divide both sides by -3.

x=10/3

I hope this helps!
