Why do Skocpol and Williamson explain Tea Party Members’ fear of “societal decline” as more cultural than economic?

Answer with Explanation:

The "Tea Party" members were concerned about social tyranny in the country and they wanted that people's rights will be defended. They thought that the nation was stranger than they used to remember when they were children.

The new generation thinks that the situation for them is just normal. Such kind of thinking makes "societal decline" as something cultural, rather than economic. They saw America's decline as a "societal threat." They weren't really worried about the few people who were taking advantage of the events, but they were worried that the children's life will be affected. For example, playgrounds are being taken out due to safety reasons and the young people think that it's okay not to get married (even if you have a child with somebody). This is the fear that they have in the society.
