John Wycliffe was the first theologian who translated the Bible into his native English.

Explanation:

 • John Wycliffe was a theologian, clergyman and a seminary faculty at the University of Oxford. He was a well known Christian reformer. He was against so many conventional practices of the church.
 • He became famous with his version of Wycliffe's Bible in which he translated the Bible into native English. The estimated year of completion of his version was 1384.
 • The disciplines of Wycliffe were known as Lollards, who took lead in advocating predestination, iconoclasm, and caesaropapism. Through Wycliffe's Bible, the New Testament became smoother and clearer.
