Why is it difficult for ego to except truth?
Anna [14]

Answer: When we let the ego speak louder, it becomes dangerous because we find ourselves superior to everything and everyone around us.

One has many difficulties in assuming that one has made mistakes, thus never being able to learn from one's mistakes. This can end up affecting the realization that she herself is causing certain problems and may end up blaming and seeking other people for things that go wrong.

Luden [163]
What type of advertising language tends to make extravagant and unrealistic claims about products without saying anything concrete, making it difficult to prove the truth or falsehood of the claim? Puffery. Puffery is defined as speaking or writing with false praise or exaggeration. This can be done with any type of writing/language but is common in advertising a product or service. It's hard to know what information is actually true about the product or service and what is spread far from it.

What is the significance of montag and mildred not being able to remember where/when they met?
Dima020 [189]

Mildred and Montag hardly know each other, and are not in love with each other. Mildred's focus is on the "parlor family" and does not focus on Montag. When Montag asks her if she remembers where they met, she brushes it off, and cannot give him an answer. She doesn't feel as though it is an important part of their relationship. They sleep in separate twin beds in the same room, but do not really communicate with each other. They talk to each other, but there is no deep communication as there is when Montag meets Clarisse. It is also very evident that Mildred only cares for herself when she sounds the alarm on her own hvusband for having books in the house and reading poetry to her and her friends.
