Read this excerpt from the blog of a student who saw the play North to Freedom. Which statement presents an opposing viewpoint f

rom the excerpt? Last Saturday I went to Kennedy High School's performance of the play North to Freedom. I thought this play was really neat. It was a about a young woman who escaped from slavery using the Underground Railroad. When I first heard what the play was about, I thought it would be really boring. I really only went to see the play because my friend Amelia was playing the lead character. I am so glad I went! The story wasn't boring at all, and Amelia was so good. I never knew she was such a great actress. Great job, Amelia! I think that everyone should go see this play. The actors do a great job, and the set and the lighting looked cool, too. This play can teach people a lot about the Underground Railroad and the long journey many escaped slaves took to gain their freedom. A) Community members should go see the play. B) All of the actors gave remarkable performances. C) The lighting and the set design were not very good. D) Amelia was the best actress in the entire production.

<span>C) The lighting and the set design were not very good.

This is the only statement that contradicts what the student had to say about the play. After saying that the actors did a great job, she says "</span><span>the set and the lighting looked cool, too". This shows that she thought they were good, so saying they were not good is an opposing viewpoint.</span>
