I think the themes of “Kickoff” are Bullying and Friendship at the same time. Bullying because a girl named Alicia is always trying to be so much better then Tyra but she cant so she gets jealous and hurts her in soccer or gets her friends too trip her. The last time someone tripped her she sprained her ankle and might not be able to play in the game that is only a week and a half away. Also friendship because one of Alicia’s friends named Molly is against all the bullying on Tyra and is Tyra’s only good friend that she can talk to.Tyra really misses her old home in Florida and Molly supports her. Molly is also really interested in how Tyra played soccer in Florida for the Tampa Bay Butterflies.

It develops the habit of working in a team by developing a sense of friendliness among team members. It makes a person with mental and physical toughness by shaping the body and mind and removing tiredness and lethargy. It improves blood circulation all through the body thus improves the physical and mental well-being of the person.
Sports and games are activities that make a person more capable with high-level efficiency. It removes the mental exhaustion and makes us capable to do any hard work. In the modern education system, sports have been made an integral part of education to make education interesting, tense free and enjoyable. Education is considered as incomplete without sports because education with sports activities draws more attention of the children towards study.
Sports activities are very necessary for all especially children and youths as it stimulates the physical and mental growth. It improves the memory level, concentration level, and learning capacity of the children. A small child can be a famous national or international level player if he/she practices sports from his/her childhood. Children should participate in all the sports competitions held in their schools and colleges to remove their hesitation and go ahead. Sports and games have a nice career in the future for the good sportsman. It gives us the opportunity to grow in life and earn money, name, and fame. Nowadays, sports facilities are being developed in almost all the schools and colleges in both rural and urban areas so the students having an interest in the sports and games activities can get the better path to go ahead.
