Find the intervals from which f is increasing or decreasing for f(x)=3x^2/5-x^3/5

f(x)=3x^{2/5}-x^{3/5}

We get the derivative : f'(x)=3*2/5*x^{2/5-1}-3/5*x^{3/5-1}=\dfrac{6}{5x^{3/5}}-\dfrac{3}{5x^{2/5}}

f'(x) is negative for x<0.

Let's look at the critical points other than at x=0:
f'(x)=0 <=> 6/5-(3/5)x^(1/5)=0 <=> x^(1/5)=(6/5)*(5/3)=2 hence x=2^5=32

There is a critical point at x=32; for x<=32 f' is positive, for x>=30 f' is negative.

The derivative is positive for positive xs and negative for negative xs, hence f is increasing for 32>=x>0, and decreasing for x<0 and x>32

Answer pls!! thank u
mestny [16]

Answer: See below

Step-by-step explanation:

A linear line is a straight line. It can be going up, down, vertical, or horizontal. As long as it's a straight line, then it is a linear equation. Graph 1 and 5 are linear.

A quadratic graph is a parabola. It is in the shape of a "U". The "U" can be doing up or down. It can also be more than a parabola. Any x to th epower of a number is also a quadratic graph. Graph 2 and 4 are quadratic graphs.

An exponential graph is a graph that is a number to the power of x. These graphs are also continuous. They go towards infinity. Graph 3 and 6 are exponential.

What quadratic equation has roots 7 and -2/3
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

(x-7)(x+2/3)

Step-by-step explanation:

To easily find an equation with said roots, use the intercept form:

y=a(x-p)(x-q), where p and q are your roots.

y=(x-7)(x-(-2/3) = y=(x-7)(x+2/3)
