Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

there are 2.5 oranges per Pound

and 1.2 Grapefruit per Pound

In $ 50 one can buy 40 Pound Oranges

i.e. Oranges is \frac{50}{40}=1.25\ \$ per\ Pound

In 50 $ one can buy 55 Pound Grapefruit

i.e. Grapefruit is \frac{50}{55}=0.909\ \$\ per\ Pound

If we have Enough money to buy 28 Pounds of Grapefruit

28\times \frac{50}{55}=25.45 $

In 24.45 $ we can bought \frac{24.45}{1.25}=19.56 Pounds

19.56 pounds meaning 19.56\times 2.5=48.9\ oranges\approx 49\ oranges
