Japan invaded China from Korea in 1937. This began what is known as the Second Sino-Japanese War. This conflict lasted from 1937 to 1945. However, some sources argue that the war actually started after the Japanese invasion of Manchuria in 1931. During this conflict, China received the help of the Soviet Union and the United States. Eventually, the conflict merged with the other conflicts going on around the world during World War II.
