Why was Nicolaus Copernicus's theory that the earth orbits the sun so shocking to the people living in the 1500's?

Explanation:  The theory by Nicolaus Copernicus that the earth orbits around the sun is a heliocentric model that is still valid today, while the thinking of the 1500's was that the sun and other planets circle around the earth, which is a geocentric model. The geocentric model was the official position of the Church that shaped people's thinking and had a great influence on believers. That's why this heliocentric model was a shock, and it was considered a heresy.

Dennis_Churaev [7]

The worshiping of Idols in Java is related to the expanse of Hinduism and Buddhism there,

Explanation:

Java was one of the influenced kingdoms of Indian and mainly south Indian kings who had installed dynasties in the region making some of the first kingdoms there .

They had also brought their Hindu religion with them and some Buddhist missionaries had also reached.

The idols they were thus worshiping were Hindu as reported by Marco polo in his travels because they took their culture from the predominantly Hindu south India.

Plzzzz help me<br> Explain why a market or mixed economy is the best match for the United States.
professor190 [17]

The basic idea of the mixed economy is that the means of production are mainly under private ownership; that markets remain the dominant form of economic coordination; and that profit-seeking enterprises and the accumulation of capital remain the fundamental driving force behind economic activity.Governments in mixed economies often provide environmental protection, maintenance of employment standards, a standardized welfare system, and maintenance of competition. Also because our economic system is capitalism.

So just put all those together. Government limited control , we have capitalist economic system & that s why it s best match for the U.S.
