What was the name given to the widespread fear of suspected communists and radicals in the United state after world war 1 ?
Yuri [45]
I would call this the 'Red Scare' as a phobia against communism or radical politics after WWI probably because the Soviet Union came out of WWI but on the contrary there were a lot of sympathizers to the cause of the Soviet Union and interest in their new experiment of actually trying to implement socialism at least among the Canadian and American working classes and many union members.

son4ous [18]
Map-makers dresses two sets of imaginary lines on maps and globes to locate places on the Earth. One set of lines running from East to west is is called lines of latitude. One line is exactly halfway between the north and the south poles. It is called the equator and Is numbered 0 degrees latitude. The other lines (parallels) measure distance north and south of the equator. Each degree of latitude is equal to about 70 miles (112 kilometers) on Earth.

The other set of imaginary lines is called lines of longitude (meridians). These lines run from the North Pole to the South Pole. The starting place for measuring longitude 0 degrees is called the prime meridian. Distances are measured in degrees East or west up to 180 degrees.

Describe some factors that eventually led to the united states entering world war one
Vilka [71]

Answer:

There are 3 main factors that led to the US joining World War 1.

1. The Zimmerman Note

2. The sinking of the Lusitania

3. Unrestricted submarine warfare

The Zimmerman Note angered Americans because it was Germany, going behind the US's back asking for Mexico's help- saying that if they started a war with the US, then Germany would help it repossess some territory. If America was focused on a war against Mexico, it most likely wouldn't have joined WW1, or would've been as powerful.

The Lusitania was a British passenger ship that had Americans on it. Germans sunk it, and the people on board died. Germany claimed that it had contained munitions, but Britain denied it- only much later did people prove that there were actually weapons/supplies. Either way, whenever Americans die, Americans get mad.

Unrestricted submarine warfare is mainly just an immoral practice- sinking any ship in sight, without stopping it and confirming civilians.

I hope this helped!
