Remark

If you don't know, you have no choice but to try them all.

F

1/2 * 3/2 = 3/4 Three quarters is larger than 1/2

G

1/2 * 10/8 = 10/16 = 5/8 which is greater than 1/2

You can tell without doing this that when something greater than one is cut in half that the two (halves) are both equal and greater than 1/2.

H

1/2 *  5/4 = 5/8 which is greater than 1/2

The same comment as G applies here as  H.

I

3/4 * 1/2 = 3/8 which is less then 4/8 which would be 1/2

Answer: I

F is the answer because if you take the numbers 3/4 and multiply them by 1/2that would equal zero and that is less than 1/2 or 0.50

The formula for the area A of a rectangle with a length of 5 inches is A = 5w, where w is the
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

Width 2 4 6 8

Area 10 20 30 40

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle = length × width

Calculate width when length = 5 inches

When length = 5 inches and width = 2 inches

Area of a rectangle = length × width

A = 5 × 2

= 10 square inches

When length = 5 inches and width = 4 inches

Area of a rectangle = length × width

A = 5 × 4

= 20 square inches

When length = 5 inches and width = 6 inches

Area of a rectangle = length × width

A = 5 × 6

= 30 square inches

When length = 5 inches and width = 8 inches

Area of a rectangle = length × width

A = 5 × 8

= 40 square inches

Given the same length and different width

Width 2 4 6 8

Area 10 20 30 40
