Explanation:

-Genetic variability would increase because of crossing over

Further Explanation:

All the genetic information within the eukaryotic cell is stored within the nucleus as helical DNA. This DNA is tightly wound around histones as chromosomes. To produce daughter cells during cell division, the chromosomes (total number of chromosomes (2n)) are copied before the cell splits into two daughter cells. This process is known as mitosis, and occurs in cell division and growth processes. Two new nuclei are formed, along with identical cells. These are the same as the parent cell and the chromosome number (2n) is maintained.

Conversely in meiosis, the number of chromosomes (2n) is halved through meiotic divisions, producing 4 (n) germ cells (sperm or eggs), each containing half the number of chromosomes as its parent cell.

 • crossing over: the exchange of segments of chromosome, between non-sister homologous or similar chromatids crossing over happens at chiasmata, the point where non-sister chromosomes are joined.

This event may lead to increases in genetic variability. This variation refers to the genetic characteristics present within a species; they form new traits called alleles, which may confer adaptations that increase the fitness of a species, along with ensuring survival by conferring a protective advantage.

stiks02 [169]
The organelle in the plant that will most likely store the absorbed herbicide waste is the vacuole. Vacuoles act as storage bubbles in plant cells. They could store various materials such as food or nutrients to help the plant survive. It can also store waste materials to prevent them from contaminating the entire cell.

Some stomach cells transport chloride ions inside and bicarbonate ions outside the cell via a same transport protein. Such a tra
Kryger [21]

Answer:

Such transport mechanism is called Antiport.

Explanation:

The production of hydrochloric acid (HCl) by the parietal cells requires the activity of the enzyme, carbonic anhydrase. In the presence of carbonic anhydrase CO₂ and H₂O are converted to HCO⁻ and H⁻.

The newly generated proton (H+ )s transported into the lumen of the stomach via the e H ₊₋K +ATPase (called the proton pump)Concurrently, HCO₃ ⁻ exits from the basal surface (blood side) of the parietal cell via the HCO₃⁻ ₋ Cl antiporter.

The chloride ionneeded to form HCl, enters the parietal cell from the blood via the HCO₃⁻₋Cl⁻ antiporter and exits at the luminal side by the Cl⁻ channel. Once within the lumen of the stomach, cl⁻ combines with H⁺to form HCl.

The luminal K⁺ that is needed to maintain the activity of the proton pump(H⁺₋K⁻ATPase)enters the parietal cells from the stomach lumen by the H⁺₋K⁺ + ATPase and is then recycled back into the lumen of the stomach by the K⁺ channel.

Chantal was eating raisins and a few of them fell into her glass of drinking water. She finished eating the rest of the raisins.
Leto [7]

Answer:

The answer to the raisin question is B. When a raisin is put in water, the water passes through the semipermeable membrane and causes it to swell.

You didn't put the question for the second set of answers though, if you tell me the question I'll gladly answer it for you. :)
