we are given point as

(x,y)=(5,7)

translating 3 units to right side

It means we will subtract 3 to x-value

and we get

(x,y)= (5-3,7)

(x,y)=(2,7)

now, it is reflected about x-axis

so, we can change y-value as -y

so, we get our new point as

(x,y)=(2,-7)

now, we have to find it's image reflection

so, we will get

(x',y')=(-7,2).........Answer

) Find the coordinates of the point A' which is the symmetric point
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Let, coordinate of point A' is (x,y).

Since, A' is the symmetric point  A(3, 2) with respect to the line 2x + y - 12 = 0.

So, slope of line containing A and A' will be perpendicular to the line 2x + y - 12 = 0 and also their center lies in the line too.

Now, their center is given by :

C( \dfrac{x+3}{2}, \dfrac{y+2}{2})

Also, product of slope will be -1 .( Since, they are parallel )

\dfrac{y-2}{x-3} \times -2  = -1\\\\2y - 4 = x - 3\\\\2y - x = 1

x = 2y - 1

So, C( \dfrac{2y -1 +3}{2}, \dfrac{y+2}{2})\\\\C( \dfrac{2y + 2}{2}, \dfrac{y+2}{2})

Also, C satisfy given line :

2\times ( \dfrac{2y + 2}{2})  + \dfrac{y+2}{2} = 12\\\\4y + 4 + y + 2 = 24\\\\5y = 18\\\\y = \dfrac{18}{5}

Also,

x = 2\times \dfrac{18}{5 } - 1\\\\x = \dfrac{31}{5}

Therefore, the symmetric points isA'(\dfrac{31}{5}, \dfrac{18}{5}) .

John needs to paint a wall with spray paint. the wall has a diagonal of 43.6 feet and a height of 8.3 feet. if a spray can will
mixer [17]
The wall is a rectangle, so by the pythagorean theorem, the diagonal squared minus the height squared equals the width squared. This gives a width of 42.80 feet. The area of the wall is width (42.80 ft) x height (8.3 ft), equal to 355.26 square ft. The can covers 21.5 square feet, so John needs 16.52 cans to cover the wall. As he can't buy half a can, John should purchase 17 cans of spraypaint.<span>The wall is a rectangle, so by the pythagorean theorem, the diagonal squared minus the height squared equals the width squared. What the duck is the freaking answer too 1/12=x/80
ASHA 777 [7]
If you are setting it up as a proportion then you would muiltiply the 12 and x to get 12x. Then muiltiply the 80 and 1 to get 80. So 12x=80. Divide the 12 to get your final answer
