Which statements best describe the dot plot or box plot? Check all that apply. 1)Add the number of dots above each age in the do

t plot to find the number of players on the team: 2 + 1 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 2 = 13. 2)Subtract the maximum and minimum values of the box plot to find the number of players on the team: 12 – 7. 3)The median appears clearly on the dot plot at the center of the number line: 9.5. 4)The median appears clearly on the box plot at the line within the box: 10. 5)The dot plot is the only display that can be used to show the variability of the data. 6) The box plot is the only display that can be used to show the variability of the data.

koban [17]

Answer:

  • 300 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

  • y- the amount of charge,
  • x - the number of miles

The equations as per question are below

<u>Crazy Curly's</u>

  • y = 0.3x + 20

<u>Bill's Beauties</u>

  • y = 0.2x + 50

Solve the system by substitution

  • 0.3x + 20 = 0.2x + 50
  • 0.3x - 0.2x = 50 - 20
  • 0.1x = 30
  • x = 30/0.1
  • x = 300

At a salesperson nakia is paid $50 per week plus$3 per sale.This week makati hopes to earn at least $100. Write an inequality fo
Inessa [10]

Answer:

The Inequality representing the number of sales needed is 50+3x\geq 100.

Mali need to make at least <u>17 sales</u> for to earn $100.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Amount paid per week = $50

Amount paid on per sale = 3

Total amount to be earned \geq $100

We need to write and solve the inequality to find the number of sales need to be make.

Solution:

Let the number of sales need to be make be 'x'.

Now we can say that;

Amount paid per week plus Amount paid on per sale multiplied by number of sales should be greater than or equal to Total amount to be earned.

framing in equation form we get;

50+3x\geq 100

Hence the Inequality representing the number of sales needed is 50+3x\geq 100.

On Solving above Inequality we get;

Subtracting both side by 50 using Subtraction property of Inequality we get;

50+3x-50\geq 100-50\\\\3x\geq 50

Now Dividing both side by 3 Using Division property of Inequality we get;

\frac{3x}{3}\geq \frac{50}{3}\\ \\x\geq 16.66

Hence Mali need to make at least <u>17 sales</u> for to earn $100.

Hello there,

The outlier of the data set is 92. Lets first find everything with the outlier.
Mean: 60.08
Median: 57
Mode: 52
Range:46

Now let's take out the outlier of the set and see the difference.
Mean: 54.27
Median:56
Mode: 52
Range: 15

So as we can see without the outlier everything is closer together. The outlier shouldn't be included because that makes the entire set screwed up. The data is more accurate without the outlier.

Hope this helps!
