Alcohol honestly shuts the body down, if you drink too much, and you're under the influence all the time, your body starts to rely on alcoholic beverages to be able to function.  You stop thinking for yourself, and on top of all of that, it destroys your liver and kidneys.

Explanation:

I know people who drank alcohol, my mother was one of them, if you watch people when they drink, you can tell that if they do it all the time, that's all they rely on.  If they continue, they become what people call "functioning alcoholics," and begin to have all sorts of medical problems, mentally and physically.
