40 + 5x = 70 + 2x
3x = 30
x= 10
40 + 5(10)= 40+50 = 90
70 + 2(10)= 70 + 20= 90
90=90

Hi,

1 m² = 100 cm times 100 cm = 10,000 cm²

If there are 23 grass plants in 100 cm², then an entire m² contains:

23\cdot\dfrac{10,000\;cm^2}{100\;cm^2}=23\cdot 100=2,300\;grass\;plants.

A movie theater sends out a coupon for 10% off the price of a ticket. Write an equation for the situation, where y is the pric
salantis [7]

Answer:

y = 0.9x

Step-by-step explanation:

A movie theater sends out a coupon for 10% off the price of a ticket, so the price of the ticket with the coupon is 100% - 10% = 90% of the original price.

Let

x = original price

y = price of the ticket with the coupon

Then

x - 100%

y - 90%

Write a proportion:

\dfrac{x}{y}=\dfrac{100}{90}

Cross multiply:

100y=90x\\ \\y=0.9x

Since the original price and final price are always greater than 0, then the graph of this equation is in the first quadrant (see attached diagram)

What is 100x3856+284 dived by 6 x384
azamat

Answer:

179 R 1584

<h3>Part 1</h3>

6 × 384

6 × 4 = 24(carry the 2)

6 × 8 + 2 = 50(carry the 5)
6 × 3 + 5 = 23

Put it all together into one number

23 + 0 + 4 = 2,304

<h3>Part 2</h3>

3,856 + 284

6 does not add to 4 so it's 0

5 + 8 = 14(carry the 1 and add 1)

8 cannot add onto 2 so use the one you borrowed and carry. = 1

3 + 1 = 4

Put it together

4 + 1 + 4 + 0 = 4,140

<h3>Part 3</h3>

414,000

Simply add the two 0's in 100 to 4,140

<h3>Part 4</h3>

414,000 ÷ 2,304

Turn 4,140 into the thousands place temporarily.

4140

-2304

=1,836

Drop 0 to the result

18360

-16128

=2,232

Drop 0 again

22320

-20736

=1,584

Finally, you have a result.
