The Visigoths rebelled because the local Roman governors mistreated them. This led to widespread discontent among the Visigoths. By the year 376 CE open rebellion broke out. Later they attacked the neighboring Roman towns and plundered them completely. This way they started growing in power.

Why were Jews and other "undesirables" first imprisoned in concentration camps in the early 1930s?
chubhunter [2.5K]
I believe was partly the result of WWI and the reparations that germany was forced to pay. Which led to the belief that the mentioned groups were responsible a.k.a scapegoating.

Later, they were deemed enemies of the state and hence rounded up and shipped off to labor camps where they were worked to death

Which of the following best explains why competition is an important part of a free-market system?
Sergio [31]

Answer: Without competition, people would not have a lot of choices.

In economics, a free market is a system in which the prices for goods and services are determined by the producers and consumers, in which the laws of supply and demand are free from any intervention by a government or other authority.

Who did Count Vlad impale most
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer: Political dissenters, traitors, collaborators.

Explanation:

In literature, art, film, and music, Vlad Tepes is promoted as a person who, under his characteristics, contains certain non-elemental elements, a person whose name is bound by many myths such as vampirism and the like. Science, however, has a somewhat more rational judgment on this personality. He spent much of his reign as an Ottoman vassal. He paid a sum to maintain autonomy in the area under his administration.

History says that the government has brutally dealt with its dissenters, but not to the extent that it is presented through literary literature and the arts. There were indeed cases of stick-picking, and he did so primarily to those he thought were working against his interests. The ruler's seal was red (alluding to blood) and in the form of a dragon, which is why it is associated with many myths and legends outside the historical framework.
