Biology

Answer:

Therefore, the mean arterial pressure is determined by e. cardiac output and b. resistance of the arterioles

Explanation:

<u>Mean arterial pressure (</u>MAP) is the average blood pressure of an individual during a particular cardiac cycle. It can be determined by cardiac output (CO), central venous pressure (CVP) and the systemic vascular resistance (SVR).

Therefore, the Mean arterial pressure can be calculated by:

systemic vascular resistance = (Mean Arterial Pressure - central venous pressure) / Cardiac Output

SVR= (MAP- CVP) / CO

or,

MAP = (CO × SVR) + CVP

Since, CVP is generally 0 mmHg, the equation can be simplified to:

MAP approx = CO × SVR

Photosynthetic pigments, which absorbs the most sunlight and at which wavelength(s) of visible light?
vichka [17]
<span>Photosynthetic pigments, which absorbs the most sunlight is chlorophyll a.
This is the most abundant pigment in plants which absorbs visible light with wavelengths of 430nm( blue) and 662nm( red). It contains a hydrophobic phytol chain (in a lipid membrane) and a tetrapyrrolic ring (outside of the membrane) that absorbs the energy from light. At the centre of the structure is magnesium, Mg that can accept and donate e-.</span>

Where does the helicase start unzipping
Ivenika [448]

answer: It begins at a site called the origin of replication, and it creates a replication fork by separating the two sides of the parental DNA. This 'unzipping' of the molecules will expose the nitrogenous bases of the nucleic acid chain so that new nucleotides can be added to create the daughter strand.

Which will form an ionic bond?
larisa86 [58]

The correct answer is B. Two oppositely-charged ions

Explanation:

In chemistry, ionic bonds only occur between ions oppositely charged, this means one of the ions has to be positively charged and the other has to be negatively charged. This is because there is a natural attraction between particles with different charges and this leads to the formation of chemical bonds. Also, this bond implies the transfer of electrons between ions. In this context, this type of bond can only occur with oppositely-charged ions. Moreover, particles with the same charges either negative, positive, or neutral do not experience attraction and cannot form ionic bonds.
