Answer:

Jonathan Swift.

Explanation:

The essay entitled 'A Modest Proposal' which is authored by the famous Anglo-Irish poet, essayist, and satirist is one of his highly acknowledged essays that is primarily inclined towards satirically critiquing the inhumanity pursued against the poor children.

As per the question, the given excerpt is taken from this very essay by Jonathan Swift which aims to convey the prejudice propagated against the poor children belonging to lower classes by 'landlords' and satirically proposes them to use the cadaver of these children's body to be used for preparing hand gloves or clothing which would be 'best title to them' and through this Swift satirically reflects the inhuman and luxurious life of rich at the cost of the poor's lives.

Write two to three sentences explaining one way that Ovid creates suspense in "Pyramus and Thisbe." Support your response with d
bezimeni [28]

Answer and Explanation:

Ovid managed to generate suspense in "Pyramus and Thisbe" from the beginning of the narrative, when only young people communicate through a small space between their homes, and they can be discovered at any time by someone who would prevent them from being together. However, the high point of the suspense is portrayed at the end of the poem, when Ovid causes Pyramus to find his beloved's bloody vein and is extremely sad, making the reader unable to know what he will actually do, until he decides he needs to die. Furthermore, the suspense gets even greater when Thisbe finds her beloved dead and decides to have the same end.
