does anyone have experience writing a school sports news article? how should I write the lead and introduction paragraph?
mrs_skeptik [129]

Explanation:

First of all, you must be aware of the forms types of sports articles so you can find the form that you will use in your article. Some types of sports articles are: A “feature lede/lead”, a “profile”, a ''lead'', a ''column''...

 • The most used type in schools is a ''lead'' or “straight lede” and it is used for describing and informing the readers about who played, who won and how the game flowed.

If you don't have any experience in writing I would recommend you to do a little research on the internet about writing examples. It is always good to have your own, recognizable style.

 • The lead is the main and the first step of the paragraph. In the lead, you should summarize the event and the rest of the article should have details about it. You should write about who won and lost, the score and the end or in the middle of the game, the main points, who are the most recognizable players, and more. Before whole that, you should inform the readers where the game is playing and who are the teams.
