Answer:

The Compact created laws for the pilgrims and non-pilgrims.

Explanation:

The Mayflower Compact was a collection of rules for the self-government in America for the first time. It was the first agreement by the English settlers in the colonies. The Mayflower Compact, signed in 1620 by the pilgrims and other passengers who boarded the ship from England for the New World. The Compact continued to operate until 1691 when Plymouth Colony came under Massachusetts Bay Colony.

The Mayflower Compact designed laws for Pilgrims and others. It was a short document which inspired them to remain loyal to King James, despite their need for self-rule.

After arriving in the New World, they reached the coast (New England) and built a settlement, which they eventually called Plymouth.

The consolidation of Republican power and eclipse of the Populists after the 1896 elections can be attributed to a. eastern labo
Jlenok [28]

Answer: B.

Explanation: The 1896 election was particularly detrimental to the Populist Party in the South as the party was divided between members who favored cooperation with the Democrats to achieve reform at the national level and members who favored cooperation with the Republicans to achieve reform at the state level.

The republican candidate, McKinley who had support from the well-to-do, urban dwellers and prosperous farmers, won a majority of the popular vote and an easy victory in the Electoral College. McKinley's systemized approach to gaining the presidency laid the groundwork for modern campaigns.

Both these feats could be attributed to the general upturn of the economic recovery of a nation that had been in great recession since 1893.

In what ways would the population advantage in the north help the unions war efforts??
Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The North had international legitimacy. Other nations recognized the North and could provide trade and credit. The Confederacy, on the other hand, never received international recognition. The South could not afford a long war of attrition. The quality of troops in the North increased as the war progressed, while the South was taking the young and the old to fill its ranks before the war was over.

The North had greater infrastructure. Railroads allowed the North to ship men and supplies where they were needed most. Lee's final retreat to Appomattox was plagued by a poorly organized rail service. Even before the war, the South lacked railroad investment.

The North also had a moral reason...
