The correct answer is B. Permanent and available at all times.

Standing army is termed as army which is professional and permanent. It is being composed of soldiers who are full-time.

During the time of peace this army is not disbanded. Standing army is different from army reserves in that, they are enrolled for long term and they are active during a time when there is natural disaster or in time of wars.

They are temporary which means they can be disbanded when war is over. Ancient Greece were the first standing armies which were known in Europe.

What did the fall of the Berlin Wall symbolize? The end of communism in Germany The fall of all communist countries The control
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

The fall of all communist countries

Explanation:

The Berlin Wall was a physical border set in the city of Berlin which was dividing the communist and democratic part of it. The people were not able to communicate, move between the two sides, or even see each other. The wall was set by the Soviets, and it represented very well how their politics was. When this wall finally was taken down after three decades, it meant that Germany was united again, and that the communism came to an end in the country. The symbolism of the fall of the Berlin Wall though is much wider, and it not only symbolizes the end of communism in Germany, but across most of the world, as it coincided with the period when the Soviet Union was falling apart and numerous countries got independent, free to make their own decisions, and become democratic societies.

What role did consumerism play in the early growth of capitalism?
Inga [223]

Since capitalism is based around the production and trade, consumerism as a movement that promoted consumtion logically increased the demand and the production. The more people consumed, the more profit did the companies have. By definition, consumerism promotes over consumtion of goods and services that are not neccessary or needed. Using the means of marketing and promotion, companies affect people's behavior by increasing the demand for certain products and therefore creating trends. In consumerism, products lose their value and are easily replacable. Also the appetite for variety of different products is increased.
