Athenian democracy is the pure and direct democracy practiced during the Roman Civilization. People were given the supreme authority to cast vote and elect their king and ministers. Democracy originated from Roman Civilization.

It has its own drawbacks as it involves the people’ emotions directly. Sometimes this form of Government allowed people to take bad decisions based on their emotional instability. It paved way for vengeance and covetousness too.

Athenians refrained one person from getting too much power by keeping constant check on the offices and a council was formed on the basis of lot system which kept a thorough scrutiny on the person who was to become tyrannical, this constant check prevented one from gaining much power.

borishaifa [10]

Answer:

d. was assassinated by leading senators convinced his death would restore the republic.

Explanation:

Julius Caesar had the title of "dictator for life" by the time he was assassinated by three senators: Marcus Junius Brutus, Cassius Longinus and Decimus Junius Brutus in 44 BC. He was stabbed to death in a theater, and several other senators were conspirators.

The goal of the senators was to re-establish the republic, however, they were ineffective in achieving this goal, and what broke out next was a civil war that ended when Augustus finally took power and became the first Roman Emperor.

Answer:

German paper marks rapidly lost value between 1918 and 1923

Explanation:

Between the period 1918 ans 1923, the German economy crumbled rapidly and it had enormous inflation, resulting in large scale poverty in the country. This can be seen very well from the presented graph, as at 1918 one paper Mark was almost equivalent to one gold Mark. Then as the years pass by the paper Mark starts to lose on value, and by 1921 it is almost 1,000 paper Marks that were the equivalent of one golden Mark. From 1922 we have a sharp loss of value of the paper Mark continuing in the next 1923, with the end result being one billion paper Marks to be equivalent to one gold Mark.

Explain in English why Chile is a very diverse country
USPshnik [31]
The geography of Chile is extremely diverse as the country extends from a latitude of 17° South to Cape Horn at 56° (if Chilean claims on Antarctica are included Chile would extend to the South Pole) and from the ocean on the west to Andes on the east. Chile is situated in southern South America, bordering the South Pacific Ocean and a small part of the South Atlantic Ocean. Chile's territorial shape is among the world's most unusual. From north to south, Chile extends 4,270 km (2,653 mi), and yet it only averages 177 km (110 mi) east to west. On a map, it looks like a long ribbon reaching from the middle of South America's west coast straight down to the southern tip of the continent, where it curves slightly eastward. Diego Ramírez Islands and Cape Horn, the southernmost points in the Americas, where the Pacific and Atlantic oceans turbulently meet, are Chilean territory. Chile's northern neighbors are Peru and Bolivia, and its border with Argentina to the east, at 5,150 km (3,200 mi), is the world's third longest.
