Read the excerpt from "Mending Wall." Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder If I could put a notion in his head: “Why do th

ey make good neighbours? Isn’t it Where there are cows? But here there are no cows. Before I built a wall I’d ask to know What I was walling in or walling out, And to whom I was like to give offence. Something there is that doesn’t love a wall, That wants it down.” I could say “Elves” to him, But it’s not elves exactly, and I’d rather He said it for himself. What is the speaker’s mood in this excerpt?

Answer: A) Playful.

Explanation: the mood of a character in a story is the attitude of the character towards a situation of another character. In the given excerpt from "Mending Wall" the speaker has a playful mood towards his neighbour and the situation where he was asked to build a wall, and he doesn't understand what is the point. Ideas for an essay in English what freedom means to me
lutik1710 [3]
I would advise you first write down a basic definition of what you think freedom means. Then look up the word freedom in the dictionary–  Did the dictionary definition
match your own definition of freedom? Think  about events/books/movies/people who have shaped your own idea of the meaning. Draw from personal experiences, or experiences of others to help you out. What does freedom mean to you? What is the first thing that pops into your head when you hear the word freedom? (These are rhetorical questions). Hope this helped you out a bit... do some brainstorming!!
