Answer:

Explanation:

Point source pollution means pollution that comes from a single, identifiable source or point. The effects of this type of pollution usually remain relatively local to the point from which the pollution is emanating. Key examples of point source pollution include sewage pipes releasing sewage into a ditch, smokestack style factory chimneys and oil spills.

Nonpoint source pollution means pollution whose source cannot be traced back to a single thing. Nonpoint source pollution is pollution that is more diffuse. It is not concentrated around a particular point or source. This type of pollution and its effects can be seen in the atmosphere, the earth or the sea and other bodies of water. For instance, the high CO2 levels in the atmosphere are caused by many sources, such as factory smoke, people’s cars and so on.

How was the path of Hurricane Ike different than the storm of Galveston 1900
olga_2 [115]

Answer: After the hurricane, Galveston raised the elevation of many new buildings by more than 10 feet (3 meters). The city also built an extensive seawall to act as a buffer against future storms. Despite the reconstruction, the city's status as the premier shipping port was lost to Houston a few years after the disaster. Ike, however, is projected to head west on a path that will take it close to Hispaniola, Cuba, and the Florida Straits.”
