1. Describe the various types of air masses and how they interact to form the four frontal types. Also include the general weath
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

Fronts are defined as body of two air masses and are of four types.

Explanation:

Air masses always be in motion which brings different types of weather. Transition between the two air masses is a front.Basically there are four different types of fronts and the weather which are associated with them also varies.

So the four fronts are:

  • WARM FRONT: It has a wide range from 10-100km.Winds move easterly before the front passes.Chances of rainfall increases when the front cloud approaches . And the wind starts blowing southwesterly or southerly and then the temperature becomes warm with the clouds cleared. Has a huge amount of humidity.
  • COLD FRONT: It is narrow down to a range of <1km.Over a short distance Temperature changes when cold air advances and warm air displaces.Moisture change also causes sharply. At the ahead of the front their is higher moisture content and behind it is lower.
  • OCCLUDED FRONT: When a cold front catches up with a warm front. Their are both cold and warm occulusions. In a warm occulusion colder air is found behind the front and conversely in cold occulusion warmer air is found at the front end. Winds blow either fromsouth or east. And then it gets shifted from west or northwest.
  • STATIONARY FRONT: Boundary between warmer and colder front doesn't move. Precipitation may get developed.
  • Finally the context of midlatitude cyclogenesis leads to understanding the different type of fronts  which helps us to know the kind of weather  and the knowledge help us to predict how the areas near the fronts will be impacted regardless of precipitation' wind and temperature.

6. What is the velocity of deep-water waves that have a wavelength of 46 meters and a wave period of
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

velocity = 7.30 m/sec

23 m depth wave will feel bottom

Explanation:

given data

wavelength = 46 meters

wave period = 6.3 second

to find out

velocity and At what water depth will a deep water wave begin to feel bottom

solution

we get here velocity that is express as

velocity = \frac{wave\ length}{wave\ period}   .............1

velocity = \frac{46}{6.3}

velocity = 7.30 m/sec

and

wave base = \frac{1}{2} × wavelength   .................2

wave base = \frac{1}{2} × 46

wave base = 23 m

here water depth more than 23 m will producer will circular wave less than elliptical wave

so 23 m depth wave will feel bottom

svetoff [14.1K]

This question is incomplete because the options are missing; here is the complete question:

A human geographer studying a map of a city center has noticed that most of the restaurants are clustered around the marina. What is the human geographer studying?

A. Place

B. Pattern

C. Scale

D. Location

E. Regions

The answer to this question is B. Pattern

Explanation:

In geography, a pattern is understood as an organized arrangement of elements, this can include the arrangement of natural elements such as mountains but also the arrangement of human-made elements because these are related to spatial relationships. In the case of the example described, the geographer is studying a pattern because the focus is to understand the arrangement of restaurants in the city. Also, this topic is related to how humans understand and use space.
