To find the total area we have to find the area of 3 separate shapes, then add them together.

The first shape is the rectangle on the top. Find a = bh.

a = 16(8)
a = 128

The second shape is the rectangle on the bottom. Find a = bh

a = 6(5)
a = 30

The last shape is the triangle on the right. Find
a = 1/2bh

a = 1/2(5)(8)
a = 20

Then add 128 + 30 + 20 to get 178 m^2 as the final answer.

The shape can be split into 3 shapes
Triangle
Large rectangle
Small rectangle

Triangle area
A=1/2 bh
A=1/2 5(8)
A=20

Large rectangle
A=bh
A=16(8)
A=128

Small rectangle
A=bh
A=5(6)
A=30

Total area
20+128+30=178

The area of the shape is 178m^2

Raina bought 6 CDs that were each the same price. Including sales tax, she paid a total of $73.20. of that total, S7.80 was tax.
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

$4.40

Step-by-step explanation: First you divide 73.20 by 6 to get 12.2. Thats how much each costs with tax. Then you have to take tax off so 12.2-7.80=4.4. So $4.40.
