History

Answer:

He removed all his political opponents from their positions and most of them were sent to Gulags.

Explanation:

 • After Vladimir Lenin's death in 1924, Stalin also intended to take control of the Soviet Union.
 • At first, he removed many of the party from power and exiled to Europe and America, including Lav Trotsky, the man who was to take Lenin's place.
 • The paranoia was spreading, and Stalin was pursuing his own terror, arresting people in the middle of the night and staging trials that looked more like performances.
 • He blamed those he believed could be opposed to alliances with the capitalists and declared them "enemies of the people" and then executed. He then began conducting purges outside the party, accusing local officials of counter-revolutionary activities.

GrogVix [38]

Answer:

PLATO WORD FOR WORD

Explanation:

Me: Mr. Voltaire, your idea of religious tolerance has always been very controversial. But it has affected many people in positive ways. How do you feel about that?

Mr. Voltaire: It makes me very happy that many people have adopted the idea of religious freedom and tolerance. Back in my day, I didn’t know if it would ever happen. I am truly glad to see my ideas blossom.

Me: Sir, you were imprisoned multiple times for your views on religious tolerance. In an article by Frank Morris titled “In America’s Heartland, Building One Home for Three Faiths,” I learned about three religions coming together to build three places of worship. In the article, a woman stated, “We love our building. There is literally no good reason to move whatsoever, except to follow this Tri-Faith Initiative, which has really, absolutely moved our hearts.” What do you think about that?

Mr. Voltaire: I read that article as well. What I understood from it was that a Muslim mosque, a Christian church, and a Jewish synagogue were going to be constructed on a single piece of land. I am glad that people are coming together and spreading the message of religious tolerance and freedom.

Me: However, there are some people who are not happy about this event. They think that it spreads the wrong message. They worry that it could affect the peace and civility of the area. What are your views on such people?

Mr. Voltaire: Well, that’s disheartening. But, I think that there are always going to be a small group of people who may be closed-minded and intolerant toward other views or new ideas. But I am happy that a majority of the people are looking at this venture in a positive light.

Where in the Oklahoma State Constitution is the initiative outlined?
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

Article v

Explanation:

(copied and pasted from a doc i read once)

The initiative allows voters to write proposals for laws and constitutional amendments. Twenty-four states in the U.S. allow the use of the initiative process, but some restrict the content of the proposals. The processes are outlined in Article V of the state constitution. The very first initiative involved the building and location of the state capitol. Oklahoma City was chosen as the site for the new capital. Another important initiative was passed in 1912 to allow direct election of U.S. senators, rather than having the state legislature choose them. The U.S. Constitution was amended (Amendment 17) to allow direct election of U.S. senators in every state the following year.

PLEASE HELP ASAP
alexdok [17]

Answer: Tanks and military-grade planes

Explanation: Imperialism was about almost everywhere in Europe at the time and around that time most European countries had territories in Africa which lead to constant fighting for the land there. What this lead to was intense fights between nations by them creating proxy wars (militias/Rebel groups) to fight against each other which were being supplied by that country that wants more land for them self. With that it lead to Archduke assassination which lead countries to declare wars on one country which then would mean they would declare war on multiple countries in realty because countries would ally each other and the domino effect went down hill from that. So Archduke assassination was just really a "reason" to fight with another nation for more land (resources).
