<span>C. He believes that education will make Huck feel superior.

This is shown by him saying "stop putting on frills" and "I'll lay for you, my smarty."

He does believe Huck can do it, he says so at the beginning so it is not B.  He does not like religion either.  He says "</span><span>First you know you'll get religion, too."  so it's not D.  There is nothing in the passage that talks about a better life or any kind of comparison of their lives so it is not A.  So it must be C.

Hope that helps.

Paraphrase the following lines from Thoreau's Walden:
Elis [28]

Answer:

When Thoreau says <em>superfluous wealth</em> he refers to money that is not needed or there is more of it than enough and that with all that money can be bought just things that we do not need. Those things make us blind for what should be really important in life. As he goes on in the second sentence -  we can have money, but we can not buy what our soul needs. Life can be experienced far more fully when living simply.

An author wants to show that a character is old and nearing his or her death what season would be inappropriate setting to intro
natima [27]
Spring would be the most inappropriate.

Spring is commonly used in literature to represent things like birth, new beginnings, growth, etc. Overall, Spring is used to show positive themes. To best represent a nearing death and other negative themes, an author should opt to use Winter or Autumn.
