Answer:

Explanation:

The main characteristic was the trench war.

At the dawn of the war, it seemed that technology would make the war fast and furious. However, faced with the new machines of war like machine guns, tanks, and artillery armies dug in trenches, particularly in continental Europe. The war became a war of attrition, a grind where soldiers were bombed and gassed inside the trenches.

Aerial warfare was little developed, so despite being the first war to feature it, it played a secondary role.

In other parts, like the Ottoman Empire and the Middle East, the British employed guerrilla war and financed and trained the local militia.

Which characteristics of the Italian Renaissance are present in modern-day American society and culture? Explain the Renaissance
vekshin1

Answer:

The Renaissance had a major influence on the development of modern American society, especially in relation to culture and artistic expression. Renaissance influence in America brought a new vision to humanism resulting in a departure from the dominant ideals presented by the church. Although religion still had the greatest influence throughout the Renaissance period, the growing recognition of human potential and scientific inquiry shaped the course of Western history and even today influences contemporary American culture. The principles of realism, particularly as they appeared in terms of art and literature, have remained vital in all aspects of American society, and figures such as Boccaccio, da Vinci, Machiavelli, and others live and influence the way we view our world today.
