“Tricking” and “misleading” are both synonyms and they both have different connotations... “tricking” has more of a negative tone while “misleading” has more of a neutral tone.

Anne was devastated to lose her family members one by one. She wrote all her memories in her diary and expressed her emotions about the Jewish assassination.

While hiding in the house, she had no idea what was ahead in life. Later on, she was found and killed by the Nazis.
