• Although – <em>subordinating conjunction</em>. Introducing a clause that expresses a concession.

• It- <em>pronoun</em>. The third-person singular personal pronoun that is normally used to refer to an inanimate object.

• Was - <em>transitive verb</em>. Copulative used to indicate that the subject plays the role of the predicate nominal.

• Raining – <em>noun</em>. A fall of rain.

• Fairly - <em>adverb modifier indicating degree</em>. Partly, not fully; somewhat.

• Hard - <em>adverb modifier of manner</em>. With much force or effort.

• The - <em>definite article</em>. Used before a noun modified by a restrictive relative clause, indicating that the noun refers to a single referent defined by the relative clause.

• Team - <em>noun subject of clause</em>. Any group of people involved in the same activity, especially sports or work.

• played - <em> transitive verb of clause.</em> To engage in activities expressly for the purpose of recreation or entertainment.

• Its - <em>possessive pronoun, adjective modifier</em>. The one (or ones) belonging to it.  

• Best – <em>superlative adjective modifier</em>. en-superlative of good

• Game - <em>direct object noun</em>. A particular instance of playing a game; match.

• ever -  <em>adverb modifier.</em> (informal) As intensifier following an interrogative word.
