The cold war was the fight between United States and Soviet Union (USSR) without arms. The cold war took its place after the World War II ended. As is clear from its name, it is not a war of arms and weapons but a war confined to threats.

No real war was fought in this war. It was limited to indirect war only. In this war, both the superpowers kept their ideological differences prominent. It was a type of diplomatic war that was based on the efforts of the superpowers in narrow selfishness.

During World War II, the United States, Britain and Russia fought against the Germany, Italy and Japan, also known as axis nations. Very soon these differences created a terrible state of tension.

What compromise did the federalists and the antifederalists come to in order to ratify the constitution?
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

The space was a well-constructed thrust stage however, the stage was not raised off the ground and the seats appeared to be mobile which lead to the belief that this is an Environmental Theater. As for the layout of the stage, there was a couch and a table in center stage for the first two acts, a door to the unseen outside front of the house upstage right, there were two large double doors upstage center leading to the backyard garden, and a raised floor upstage left containing a piano, a bookcase and a door leading to the home library. Stage left there was a half spiral staircase that lead up to the second floor which had a painting and lights that extended across to stage right. The second floor also contained the bedrooms for the house but the doors were not in sight. The detail was greater than expected: the hardwood floor throughout the first floor seemed to be genuine, the actual bookcase filled with real books not stage books, and the extremely large double doors with translucent glass and floral designs lead to the Garden, which featured an array of plants behind the doors. The entire space was well lit for the duration of the play; the stage took place inside the Bliss’ home so the bright lighting added a confortable feel to the inside of the house. The theatre was nearly sold out; it was hard to spot an empty seat, including the balcony and lower level seating. The crowd contained nearly an even amount of student audience members and senior citizens; there was few in the audience that appeared middle aged.

Why did the Fugitive Slave Act anger Northerners? a) It contradicted the Missouri Compromise. b) It increased federal interventi
Papessa [141]

The answer is b) It increased federal intervention in the affairs of independent states.

By the time these federal Acts were enacted in the U.S., several Northern states had already abolished slavery but it was legal in the Southern states. The Fugitive Slave Acts of 1793 and 1850 allowed for the capture and return of runaway slaves within the territory of the United States, aiming to prevent that the Northern states would become safe havens for runaway slaves.

The last act was more rigid in their provision and stated more regulation, including the guarantee of harsher punishments for anyone interfering in runaways slave's capture, the right of slave owners and their “agents” to search for escaped slaves within the borders of free states and compelled citizens to assist in their capture as well. It also denied slaves the right to a jury trial, among others.

The Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 implied much government's intervention in the state's affairs, and this angered most northern states. They responded by intentionally neglecting the law or creating acts that nullified or that protected black people, the so-called "personal liberty laws", and by making great efforts to assist runaway slaves, among others.
