Answer:

I would say that the answer to the question: Blood viscosity is highly variable in healthy individuals under resting conditions, would be, B: False.

Explanation:

Blood viscosity is the density present in the blood due to its charge of cells (red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets) in relation to the amount of serum, or water, in the mix. This viscosity then, is highly dependent on hematocrit, or the count mostly of red blood cells. There are conditions that can make hematocrit counts rise severely, and make blood more viscous, like extreme temperature conditions, dehydration, or an illness, as well as blood loss. However, in general, under normal conditions, in a healthy person, under resting situations, the hematocrit tends to remain normally at 40%, and blood viscosity remains at a normal level. If hematocrit changes, rises, or falls, then viscosity will also change, but for this to happen, the person must not be meeting resting, and normal, conditions.

since national standards have been mandated, the medical force is able to use more technological methods
Aneli [31]

Answer:

The development and availability of standards for patient safety can serve several purposes. They can either establish minimum levels of performance or can establish consistency or uniformity across multiple individuals and organizations. Another purpose for standards is that they set expectations. The process of developing standards can set expectations for the organizations and health professionals affected by the standards. The publication and dissemination of standards additionally helps to set expectations for consumers and purchasers.

Which of the following not only flexes the hip but also extends the knee joint?
julsineya [31]

Answer:

a. satorius

Explanation:

The sartorius muscle is a two-joint muscle that moves both the hip and knee joints. Although anatomically considered a thigh extensor, its contraction actually causes a flexion of the hip joint. This is due to its location in the anterior (extensor) compartment of the thigh. Additionally, it is involved in abduction and external rotation of the hip joint.

In the knee joint, it forces an internal flexion and rotation. Flexion movement is the result of tendon insertion into the knee joint behind the flexor-extensor axis. When all five movements are performed simultaneously the legs cross in meditation position. Thus, the muscle is most easily palpable in this position.
