Answer:

b. latent content

Explanation:

According to Sigmund Freud, latent content of the dream is the hidden meaning behind the dream which has an underlying message. It is suppressed by the subconscious mind to safeguard the individual from difficult emotions and feelings. If these thoughts are revealed then the mind can be sent into the state of turmoil so the subconscious mind actively hides these thoughts. They still influence the behavior and conscious thoughts in some way. Freud believed that this latent content should be unrevealed so that people can face their problems directly and realize their true wishes.

Here, the literal dream was that the man was smiling as his wife boarded the plane. The latent content is that the man was not happy with the relationship with his wife and probably wanted to separate therefore he was smiling and feeling joyous when his wife was going away from him in the dream.

Where would you expect to find the greatest use of geothermal energy in the US and why?
Vanyuwa [196]

Answer:

Geothermal reservoirs are naturally occurring areas of hydrothermal resources. These reservoirs are deep underground and are largely undetectable above ground. Geothermal energy finds its way to the earth's surface in three ways:

Volcanoes and fumaroles (holes in the earth where volcanic gases are released)

Hot springs

Geysers

Explanation:

The most active geothermal resources are usually found along major tectonic plate boundaries where most volcanoes are located. One of the most active geothermal areas in the world is called the Ring of Fire, which encircles the Pacific Ocean.

When magma comes near the earth's surface, it heats ground water trapped in porous rock or water running along fractured rock surfaces and faults. Hydrothermal features have two common ingredients: water (hydro) and heat (thermal).

Geologists use various methods to find geothermal reservoirs. Drilling a well and testing the temperature deep underground is the most reliable method for locating a geothermal reservoir.

NARA [144]

Answer:

Sadie's continue use of marijuana will lead to her brain's reduction of the neurotransmitter anandamide which will require her to need more of the marijuana to achieve its effects.

Explanation:

The active ingredient of marijuana is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)which is responsible for causing change in the brain.

This activates specific receptors called cannabinoid receptor. This receptors are found in limbic and cerebral cortex region and cerebellum.

As these receptors are located in the brain, the effect of these receptors are also wide spread. In healthy brain, these receptors are activated by a neurotransmitter called as anandamide that have pain relieving effect and also play important function in brain. When THC activates these receptors, causes interference of the normal function.

marijuana also boost another type of neurotransmitter called dopamine after taking the drug.
