Richard resent bitterly because his father did not come home for days and he became hungry and angry , he then developed hatred towards his father.

Explanation:

Black boy was a memoir written by an American author, Richard Wright. It was a true life experience of the author about his childhood and adult life in chicago . The author narrated his childhoods story till he was 21 years old of age. He talk about his childhood experiences which include hunger and beatings. It was a racism story and talk more about Richard the black boy. He was close to his mother and has little relationship with his father.

His father was a dictator and unloving, not given Richard the attention he needed so they has no relationship. His mother got a job and started taking good care of him. His father sometimes abandon them and don't come home for days. This made Richard to bitterly resent his father and He became angry and hungry for days and develop hatred for his father.

As an Adult he tries and fail the racism as he escape to the north.
