Technology and science in today's world is very important. With out technology we could not do school. With out science we could not find a cure for many things like the flu.
Science and technology work together. Scientists need technology to orginaze their results. They also need technology to help search up other results form other scientists.
In todays world living with out technology would be hard. We use technology everyday. We use it for school, work or for fun.
George Orwell’s “Shooting an Elephant”, which was written in 1936 posits that “when the white man turns tyrant it is his own freedom that he destroys'' (7). Orwell supports his statement through an overarching allegory to colonialism, ambivalent diction, and extended metaphor of one's free will and power. His purpose is to show the complex nature of imperialism and the negative impact it has- not on the subjected peoples- but on the imperialists as well, in order to reveal to the audience that it is an institution of suffering for everyone involved. He conveys his point by explaining the feeling of the pressure of being forced to do what they want him to do despite the fact that it goes against his moral judgement. He undergoes the feeling of being in a position of power and therefore must do what the people want him to do and care for what the other people think of him. Orwells casual and colloquial diction suggests his audience was intended to be broad and varie, in order to ensure the reach of his social commentary.

Parents should educate their teens on the fact that shady things can happen on the internet, and teenagers should be taught not to chat with complete strangers on an online forum. It is then up to the teen to make the right choices when online based on what they have been taught.
The expression<em> "the map is not the territory", </em>was first said by the Polish scientist, <em>Alfred Korzybski.</em>
It is a metaphor. There is the reality of something (as perceived by the senses). And there are labels, symbols, abstraction of that reality created by the mind/thought for the sake of convenience, communication, or to make undersanding easier. We are often looking at maps rather than the territory, without realising it. Mind is an expert at doing this.
Korzybski held that many people do confuse maps with territories, that is, confuse models of reality with reality itself. In other words, the description of the thing is not the thing itself. The model is not reality.
