A biome which consists of only broad -leaved trees that shed all the leaves in  a season is called Deciduous biome. Example is the forest biome.

Generally this depends on the regions of this biomes and variation in the climate (temperature).For example a high temperature  change may make some biome to have abundant rainfall that is polarization of  precipitation which makes plants and animals  habitats to be wetter, while those with less temperature has less polarization and therefore drier.

Wet habitat  make   the soil water logged.This reduced the aeration of the soil , and therefore death of plants, and organic mater in the soil.Animals can be swept away by the flood, burrowing animals are drown.

In drier biome drought  sets in, leading to death of plants and  death and migration of animals to avoid dehydration  and starvation.

In addition, extreme temperature affect the efficiency of photosynthesis enzyme and the entire process.Therefore  young trees died , leading depopulation of the forest biome, and death of fauna.
