Vladimir Lenin was the leader of the Bolshevik party that started the rebellion in November 1917 occupying public and government buildings in Russia. Russian people were poor and desperately were looking for a radical change in the times of the tsars. They saw hope in Lenin's discourse, and under the legend of "peace, bread, and land", peasants and poor people supported him. He took land from the rich people and the tsar, and the church, and gave it to the poor.
