The Round Table was King Arthur's table where he congregated with his Knights. It is very important part of the legend of King Arthur. Its shape (the fact that it is round and that there is no head) symbolizes that all of Knights siting there have equal status. This table was first described in 1155. by Wace, in his "Roman de Brut". There, he pointed out that Arthur created the Round Table to stop and prevent quarrels among his barons. During the years, the meaning of the Round Table developed, and in the end of 11th century, it had come to represent order of Knights called Knights of the Round Table.

Alisiya [41]
Strikes were not supported by the government--in 1894 the Pullman Strike was shut down by the Cleveland administration by use of the army. Strikes were disrupting the countries production and the government was not willing to support the action. Because strikes and unions were seen as one they hurt the union efforts.

Strikes were seen as a anarchist or communist movement--many strikes became violent. Extreme people in the groups used bombings, beatings, killings as a part of the strikes leading to bad reputations for unions. The Haymarket Square Riot began as a strike in Chicago and ended with the execution of leadership marking the unions as extreme.

blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

The Northwest Ordinance of 1787.

Explanation:

The Northwest Ordinance, passed on July 13, 1787 by the Confederate Congress, was a law whose object was the creation of the Northwest Territory, in what we now know as the Midwest. This territory encompassed the region located south of the Great Lakes, between the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. This was the first territorial expansion of the United States, which set the precedent for the incorporation of future new states into the territory of the Union. In addition, it was the first territory in which slavery was prohibited, thus marking an abolitionist trend in the north of the nation.
